The Gray Fossil Site is a Miocene-aged deposit with a rich assemblage of fossils, including frogs, turtles, and tapirs! The Gray Fossil Site produced the world's largest tapir and the most complete skeleton of an ancient rhinoceros, and a new species of red panda!
We will be given a tour of their museum facility from 10 AM - 12 PM, this means we will be departing UT campus around 8 AM to allow for enough travel time.
As we will be renting UT vans, only people with a valid UT identification card can ride in the university vehicles. You can drive separately to the site meeting us there by 10 AM for our tour group.
If you would like to attend this field trip, please email firstname.lastname@example.org with your name, affiliation to UT, and contact information! We will need to book the vans prior to the event and would like to have all information settled by February 12th!Be sure to follow the Gray Fossil Site on Twitter and Facebook!
